We all have myriads of opportunities for learning, growing, experimenting, earning and procrastinating thanks to the powers it has.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ve been going to conferences for over a decade now. Lots of <a href=\"https:\/\/central.wordcamp.org\/\">WordCamps<\/a>, often <a href=\"https:\/\/fronteers.nl\/congres\">Fronteers<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/conference.phpbenelux.eu\/\">PHPBenelux<\/a>, twice a <a href=\"http:\/\/responsiveconf.com\/\">Responsive Day Out<\/a> (1 day single track confs about how we could tackle the new challenges and possibilities the new ecosystem of so many different screens gave us back then), <a href=\"https:\/\/2018.ampersandconf.com\/\">Ampersand<\/a> (only about web typography), <a href=\"https:\/\/jsconf.eu\/\">JS<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/cssconf.eu\/\">CSS<\/a> Conf, <a href=\"https:\/\/2019.fullstackfest.com\/\">Full Stack Fest<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/fullstackeurope.com\/\">Full Stack Europe<\/a>, &#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One time we went to a Drupal Conference, I have to admit it was by accident. It appeared to be one of the finest conferences we&#8217;ve attended: open, welcome, a myriad of fine talks where +\/- 50% of the talks was really Drupal-specific. And guess what: as a WordPress&#8217;er, even those talks were quite relevant for us and the after party was great (walking around with a WordPress-logo can start some fine discussions at Drupal events \ud83d\ude09 )<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So: yes, WordCamp Antwerp will be a WordCamp. About WordPress and WordPress-related topics. But hey: we&#8217;re at the University of Antwerp, we&#8217;ll have 2 big auditoria and even some extra classrooms. We&#8217;ll have plenty of space for all kinds of talks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Want to contribute with your knowledge?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Help us serve a fine broad selection of sessions and cross the borders on the world wide web we&#8217;re on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/2020.antwerp.wordcamp.org\/apply-as-a-speaker\/\">Apply as a Speakers<\/a> (closes Jan 31st)<\/li><li>forward our <a href=\"https:\/\/2020.antwerp.wordcamp.org\/apply-as-a-speaker\/\">Call for Speakers<\/a> to someone you think we should hear<\/li><li>or <a href=\"https:\/\/2020.antwerp.wordcamp.org\/tickets\/\">get yourself and your peers a ticket<\/a> and mingle with our fine and welcome community!<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To be clear: we&#8217;ll vet all applications as a team. Each session should have something todo with WordPress or the open web. To give you an idea: that&#8217;s any of the following subjects and more: accessibility, Open Source, re-decentralization, browsers, online business, UX, diversity in tech, machine learning, workflows, indieweb, Open Source community challenges, OS e-commerce, the JAMStack, CSS, HTML, design, online typography, serverless, decoupled, privacy, mental health in tech, web standards, writing, &#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Join as an attendee<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Tickets only cost \u20ac40,00 for the whole weekend (incl coffee, lunches &amp; some drinks). Neither will we cover any costs.
