First batch of speakers announced
Wanna help WordCamp Antwerp? Become a volunteer.
We still need more volunteers to help us out.
Volunteers will be on the ground, meeting attendees, helping out with speakers and helping to make sure that this first Belgian WordCamp is just how we want a fine and welcoming WordCamp to be.
We are looking for people who are enthusiastic, organised, energetic, and who love WordPress.
As a volunteer at WordCamp Antwerp, you will:
- Get an inside look at the planning stages of the conference
- Be an essential part of the event on the day
- Have the opportunity to meet interesting WordPress people
- Be on the ground, meeting WordCamp attendees from all over the world

#DigitalWallonia, a WordPress platform
We are excited to welcome Myrto Melard and Stéphane Vince from DigitalWallonia.be. They will present their showcase on Digital Wallonia.
Digital Wallonia is a virtual and physical hub. It embodies the objective of the Wallonian Government to create an excellent digital playground beyond its territory, its actors and its users.

Myrto is a digital multitasker. She works for Agence du Numérique since 2004. Myrto improved her skills by testing the advanced web technologies and products before promoting and encouraging them on the platform. She is part of the team that has designed and developed DigitalWallonia.be. With WordPress, since day one and beyond.

Elle a évolué en testant des technologies web avancées d’abord pour leurs propres outils et produits afin de les promouvoir et encourager leur usage ensuite. Stéphane is passioned by IT from the cradle till now. He manages the IT team of the Walloon Digital Agency. Digital Wallonia is their main project. It is a complete cloud oriented web platform built with many parts on top of the platform WordPress.
Stéphane est passionné par l’IT depuis l’enfance. Il dirige l’équipe IT à l’Agence du Numérique (Wallonie). Digitalwallonia.be, leur projet principal, est une plateforme web orientée cloud et constituée de plusieurs composants dont la pièce maitresse est WordPress.
WordCamp Antwerp will be having 3 tracks
Because of the broad variation and topics we received from the speakers applications, it was not easy to have it all planned in a 2-track conference; which was the original plan.

Why should you attend a WordCamp?
Well, where do I start?
A WordCamp is a fun, nice, open and free place to be. Informal and community-organized: everyone from casual users to core developers participates, shares ideas, and gets to know each other.
You are in doubt? Let me tell you about my first WordCamp: WordCamp Netherlands 2010. I hesitated for weeks. Is a WordCamp for me? Am I ‘WordPress’ enough?
